A pretty tiring trip, but we’ve arrived safely again. The following day, Wednesday, we began to unpack the container. The customs officials had taken everything out and hadn’t tied the contents down again properly with stowage straps, but you can’t expect everything to run smoothly.
We got a lot done. Besides unpacking the container, we assembled most of the desks and replaced the guesthouse strip lighting by LED lamps. Tomorrow we’re going to try and replace the windows of the mini digger and put some cupboards and desks together. Maybe we’ll take some pictures of it.
And now we’ve got an internet connection (yeah!!!), so I’ve posted a few photos. You can see the container being unpacked with some Ugandans wearing Kramp clothing, also the staff houses, of which one with four living units is nearly finished and the second already started. One photo shows the finished water tank and on another you can see the fully-laden truck driving to the project.
